NetOp school - product of the Danish firm Danware Data A/S - powerful tool to enhance PC-based training.
In today’s digital society computer literacy is a prerequisite for students and professionals alike. But while computer technology races ahead, most of the tools available for computer-based teaching remain mired in tradition and ill-suited to the task.
NetOp School is a highly acclaimed software solution designed to make computer-based teaching more effective. Using advanced remote-control technology, NetOp School allows teachers to perform online virtually all the things they can in a traditional class setting.
With this program you can instruct, monitor and assist students on their PCs without moving from yours. What’s more, NetOp School grants all students a front-row seat and the chance to gain hands-on experience. The program is currently used in more than 50 countries.
Designed by training professionals, NetOp School combines unsurpassed flexibility with intuitive security features. Theprogram requires no prior experience of PC-based training and its impressive remote-control functionality opens up exciting possibilities for distance learning and virtual classrooms.
Quite simply, when it comes to computer-based teaching there isn’t a more effective way to get your ideas across.

     Giving demonstration

The “Give Demo” function lets teachers instruct one, several or all students at the same time. It is possible to send instructions either as a full screen or as a separate window so students can follow the demonstration step-by-step on their own PCs. It is also possible to show a particular student’s screen to the rest of the class, and the teacher has the ability to lock student keyboard and mouse controls.

     Monitoring and assisting students

It is possible to monitor student screens one at a time or all at once as thumbnails to gain an overview of how the class is progressing. It is possible to help individuals in difficulty via the program’s dual keyboard and mouse feature. This allows teachers to assist students without having to physically stand over them.

     Viewing students online

NetOp School offers a variety of different options for viewing class participants. The “Classroom View” provides teachers with a virtual seating plan of the class. The teacher is free to move students around and add or remove participants as necessary in the simulated layout. In addition, it is possible to view students as thumbnails (using the “Mosaic View”) or simply as a list of names for a quick assessment of who’s present. It is also possible to arrange the class into groups and view students group by group. Individuals can quickly and easily be moved from one group to another.

     Online conferencing

It is possible to hold an online text or audio discussion with one, several or all students. The teacher is the mediator of the discussion and can assign the microphone to the various participating students in turn. Students themselves can request the microphone if they want to contribute to the discussion. All written discussions can be saved as normal text files.

     Starting programs remotely.

NetOp School’s “Run Program” feature gives teachers the power to launch programs on student PCs without moving from their own computer. This makes it possible to plan multi-application lessons and demonstrations.

     Collaboration features.

NetOp School’s “Breakout Sessions” feature allows users to work in independent groups. The teacher can appoint one person in each group to act as a temporary assistant teacher and give that individual full or limited Teacher module functionality. Another useful feature to enhance collaborative classwork is “Pass The Chalk”. This feature lets teachers pass around any document to other participants in the class to work on. In this way it is possible for the whole class to work together on the same document.

     Requesting help.

Students can at any time request assistance from the teacher by sending a help message online.

     Distributing and collecting files.

The program’s extensive set of features for managing and transferring files makes it very easy for teachers to distribute, organise and file their various assignments, exams, grades, etc.
